Knights & Mages
A downloadable game
Knights & Mages is a game of loosey goosey high fantasy action. The game itself makes it easy for proper lazy GMs to slap together some adventures for their players without getting bogged down by a lot of rules and other minutia typical to other games in the genre.
What's different about it and why is it worth a look:
It's great vehicle for running material and scenarios adapted from other games - think D&D, Pathfinder, and OSR stuff. In Knights & Mages, a GM can grab a module for 5e (for example), distill the original multitude-of-stats into Knights & Mages' two ability score system, and then get playing. Got another scenario designed for some OSR variant? Translate in on over to Knight & Mages in 10 minutes and carry on.
Bullet Points:
- Knights & Mages only has 2 stats to bother with but still lends itself to tactical-ish combat and teamwork.
- Character creation for newbies takes about 10-20 minutes but features 6 races, 12 classes, some intuitive hints for role playing, and otherwise gives PCs the sorts of powers typical to a medium-low powered game of D&D.
- The thing runs on a small dice pool of D6's and character sheets have a little cheat sheet on them for good measure.
-----------
This revision from December of 2023 comes after a bunch more playtesting, rebalancing, general updates, and the addition of some quality of life tweaks that make the game so much better than some of the previous versions.
I'd love any feedback you might have.

Uploaded my docs again after some more playtesting and some minor tweaks.
With some playtesting under my belt, I've done a solid bit of rebalancing and rewriting of the rules. This might even be something akin to a final version not counting some possible art updates.
I'm pretty pleased with the results and hope that someone gives it a try.
Cheers.
Some minor-ish updates just dropped.
With any luck, the next update will include a one-shot for the system.
And I just added a doc with 6 more classes to roll from (or pick).
A much more helpful GM's guide just dropped. Cheers.
